Was it destiny to break my hand? Or free will?

Right now I have a splint on my right hand because we recently had a basketball tournament in Corpus Christi, in the second game I was playing defense and I got my pinky wrapped up in a jersey and it got jammed back and yanked out sideways! Causing be to have a Boxers Fracture in my 5th metacarpal and up in to my knuckle slightly. We were originally suppose to go up to Arlington to play but due to weather we pulled out for safety reasons. At about 10 o'clock the Wednesday night my coach text me saying "pack your bags we are leaving for corpus tomorrow morning." That's were I ask my self was it destiny for me to break my hand or was it free will and we just happen to choose to go to the tournament and it happen to get broken? The answer will never be known but I often think about it and try to find any evidence or anything that would help answer that question. At times I want to say it was destiny because we just had to squeeze in that tournament hours before going. A team dropped and we filled in! But I also want to say free will because if I hadn't have gone which I didn't want to go would I have been in a situation for it to even happen.

HEY BUFFALO BILL!!!

HEY BUFFALO BILL WHAT DID YOU KILL!! Haha that song was so catchy. By far my favorite song on the white album just because it was so catchy and as I was listening to it I could like imagine a whole story/picture in my head! I also think I liked the song because I like buffaloes and hearing it over and over again just made me what to lean from side to side smile and sing along! We rest of the album as been pretty good so far, not every far in to it but it is pretty good! There are a lot of different feeling and styles to it some are up beat and obviouse what they are talking about and some are more deep thinking, calm, and slow songs! But I have noticed in those songs as it goes on they explain more and more into it and it's like they are constantly giving you little hints as the song goes on to see if you can figure out what they are talking about!!

Jimmy Hendrix

I really enjoyed listening to Jimmy Hendrix today. His music had such a nice flow and rhythm to it. Some songs where even soothing especially because of how tired I was! He is a amazing guitarist! When he was playing he would do so much at once it appeared that more than one person was playing! And what I have heard is some people like his voice and some don't but I think it was actually good! It could take many forms it could be deep, calm, and soothing in the appropriate song. But in up beat songs he could sound very energetic, loud, and excited! I would totally say that I overall enjoyed the album very much! It was a good change of pace from say the Beatles.

It Might Get Loud

Watching the movie It Might Get Loud was quite interesting! Because it compares the three different artist in more then just who's better. It talks about their childhoods, family's, life style growing up, and how they grew to love music! All three of them had different styles and ways they played the instrument. One of them was more of a punk rock musician, one was kind of bluesy, and the other was what I would think of as a true electrical guitarist style. The things they had in common growing up was they all loved what they did! They all had the passion to be great and the best at what they did!! I think it was interesting watching them all interact because they each brought there own little something something to the table. A littl but bit hear and their that one had and the other two didn't that they would share with each other! That was really interesting.

Thanksgiving Break

Thanksgiving Break is always a extremely fun time of the year! It's kind of like a appetizer for Christmas/Winter break! Usually I stay around at home for the holidays but this Thanksgiving since my brother is up at the Air Force Academy playing basketball he does not have a Thanksgiving Break, so my family, my best friend, his mom, and my girlfriend are going to to Colorado Springs for the break to spend it up there. I am so excited to go up there because my brother is my best fiend!!! We are so close nothing can separate up! I would do anything for him and he would do anything for me. Although I am extremely excited to go up there I am also kind of nervous because I think it is extremely cold down here in Austin Texas so I can only imagine it is going to be absolutely freezing up there! But my excitement to see my brother and watch him play totally out ways the fact that I don't like the cold and it's going to be freezing!

Concerts

I personally have never been to a concert or live show. I have always listened to music that I have on my phone or iPod back in the day but I have never had the desire to go to a live performance. I think the reason why I have never really wanted to is because I do not like large crowds of people all bunched up together going crazy. When I am being pushed about and jumped against with people yelling and all that it just makes me want to hit someone!! It's different if I am playing in a sporting event and there are lots of people going crazy, I don't mind it because it's cool to hear them screaming and going crazy because I'm not apart about it. It's kind of for me if I am playing in the sporting event! I will say if I had to go to a performance I would choose a arena setting so I wouldn't be pushed all over and I'm not super close to the speakers! So it's more of a true spectator experience then just going crazy and being pushed and yelled right next to.

Mix Up

Today was a nice mix up! We listened to a lot of different music. Instead of just listening to like one album or one group of singers we listened to a large variety! We listen to some Beatles and even some rap that was a cover of a song we listened to. Not quite sure what the name of the rap song was but it had a great beat to it. Also we watched a video cause I think rap battles of history haha that was so funny it was between Picasso and some other guy but it was funny! I have heard that a really funny one is between Einstein vs. Steven Hawking! I ask my friend why it was so funny and he said because of Steven Hawkins voice! Because it sounds Like auto tune. I personally think it is funny because they are two geniuses trying to diss each other by rapping. If you haven't seen it I would strongly suggest it to you to watch.

Signing Day

Today I didn't not spend much time in the classroom because I left to go watch my friends and peers sign their letters of intent for college athletics. Anderson is not the best sports school but today we had six athlete sign. We had one swimmer/diver one horse back rider, two basketball players, and two volleyball players. Being a athlete it is cool to see my friends sign for colleges because sports is the only way I'm going to school. I hope that next year I will be signing my letter of intent. Although when I did get back we where listing to a Beatles album I only caught the end of it but it was a good album I actually enjoyed the few songs I got to listen to. It had a different attitude and sound to it then the previous albums by the Beatles we had listened too.

Beach Boys>Beattles

I personally after today listening to Pet Sounds enjoyed listening to the Beach Boys much much more then any of the other groups we have listened to this year like the Beatles or the Rolling Stones. I actually have listened to a lot of the Beach Boys top hits prior to this class. I didn't realize it at the time but in elementary school P.E. Class my gym teacher would play the Beach Boys everyday! The great part about the Beach Boys to me his one how perfectly harmonized they are and two the instruments they use in the back ground and the large variety of instruments in very cool. When I listen to the Pet Songs album It puts me in a very relaxed mind set! Not necessarily because of the lyric used but just the soothing voice, the harmony, and the peaceful instruments.

Did he light the fire place or burn the house...

I really am not 100% sure about either one if he started the fire place or if he burnt the house down! But I personally would go with the idea that he burn the house down because he obviously didn't want her all night the night before and she even tried to get him drunk so he would sleep with her. But he didn't want to so he chose to sleep in the bath tub. I mean think about it she constantly tried to make the move the night before and when she tried to get him drunk it probably crossed the line so he figured when he woke up he would solve the problem or her bothering him and by burning the house down she would think he is crazy and leave him alone. It would have been a perfect time for him to do it also because she was a single independent woman that had went to work and non of her neighbors would have expected someone to be over at the house so he could just light it on fire and then leave!

Free Will vs. Destiny

Free will and destiny many people have different view and ideas apon the subject. I personally believe in free will over destiny because yes people say it was destined I happen this way but along the line you must make choices at some point in your life. Even people who believe in destiny say you have to choice the path to take which would go against destiny because if everything was based on destany then the choice you make is irrelevant. So I think free will is the way because some people are born with natural talent or the ablility to be very smart work hard and end up successful and yet some are born with the natural talent of ability to retain yet don't work hard still end up successful so free will allows you to make your own choices and if you are blessed with what you have and it works for you then it does! If it was destiny for you to go to hell or heaven then why do super religious people spend so much time trying to do everything "right and religious" when where you end up after life is already determined?

What The Hell Is Going On

This is the weirdest movie ever!! I have no idea what is going on. All I could tell you is there is a guy wearing a ring that these other guys really want and this whole entire time they have been chasing the Beatles group around trying to get the ring from Ringo! And while they have been chasing them around the Beatles have been trying a these different ways to get the ring off of his hand but no matter what they have done the ring will no come off! I assume that this movie was made to be funny but In my opinion I think it is just the worst made movie I have ever seen haha! I will say they one really funny part I saw was them he got shrunk down to being super little and when they where all fighting he was just sitting in that bowl of what I imagine was like a orange soda and he was just like bathing in it rubbing all over himself haha that was actually really funny!! And the time where they stuck the garden hose in the room trying to gas them out but they just stuck it though the window and it made all the gaurds walking by pass out!

today's class

The first 15 minutes if this class was so funny!!! So we all came in and just started by calling roll and that was normal. But when we asked what we would be doing she said watching another Beatles movie and everyone was kind of like ahh damn another one!!? But when you know Christian being Christian says "instead of watching the movie can you just talk to us and tell us a story like Mr. A does?" It was really fun and while she was telling us about being a flight attendant the computer locked her out so she had to go get some guy to put in the password so we could get back in and when the guy came in he was super pissed just because we were laughing and talking!! And then someone was like so do you have any interesting stories and he just flipped shit and was like y'all are so disrespectful and we where all confused because we just asked if he had and cool stories! Come to find out our real  sub is also a flight attendant who had been all around the work that was pretty cool to hear what she had to say! Now we are watching this movie that makes no sense at all to me

Today's society...

In today society people often have a false sense of reality. So many people grow up these days not knowing what the real world is like and it's not always the kids fault it's the parents fault! Because parents these days always want they're kids to feel like they are just as good as everyone else or better so instead of being real with there kids they will lie to there own kids to make them feel good about themselves! And they will do so much for them and spoil them so much that when they get in the real world it is a harsh slap to the face because they have grown up being waited on and being told they wretched best so when someone is actually real with them and doing do something for them right away they are confused because they have never had to work for anything! I have a friend who no matter what he does because he is a only child being raised just by his mother due to the lost of his father he knows he will never be seriously punished because it would be a inconvenience to his monther to punish him so harsh to where she would have to take him places and constantly keep a eye on what he's doing.

Why do people like or dislike stuff?

People will say they like something or don't like something all the time but if you actually take the time to ask them why they do of don't they will probably have a hard time telling you there reasoning.  Some people don't think it is important to have supporting evidence to a question like that but when you do it can really help carry on a conversation and bring more meaning to what your opinion is. I think it is important to know why or why not before coming to the conclusion or liking or not liking something. Because if someone you are talking to is not sure on there opinion you can not neccasarrily tell them what to think but help them figure out how they feel about it. I understand when someone is leaning towards one or the other but they are not sure why so they think more about it but to just come to the conclusion that you like or dislike something without knowing why makes it seem like you don't really truly know your just picking a side based off of what you may have heard someone else say or show you.

THEY SUCK!!

I take back what I said about kind of liking the Rolling Stones!!!! THEY SUCK ASS!! I'm sitting in class listening to them right now and they are terrible! They can't sing for crap and they insist on trying to sing!! And they have done like one original song which shows they are not very creative at all! And when they go I place a instrument they play it was to loud haha it over powers everything else going on. I didn't think I would actually like The Beatles more then them but I do! At least the Beatles are synchronized and sound good together these guys sound like fucking idiots!! Like literally as I am listening to them I am becoming a mix between angry and confused as of why they where suck a big deal yet so bad!!

What Is Rock

What is rock? I personally think rock is not just one obvious thing because there are multiple types of rock! To me I think rock is more of a feeling and attitude!! When you hear it you can get that feeling like you know it when you hear it! I do not listen to it on my own but if I am with someone and it comes on the radio or something I can tell it is rock by the way it sounds! And when you see someone who is big into rock or a part of it you can kinda tell by the way the look/dress and by the way they act!

BLOGGIN FROM CLASS!!!

You know reporting live from class gettin my blog on!!!! We are currently sitting here watching this movie about the Beatles! There is exactly 10 minutes of class left. It has actually been a pretty funny movie! Some of the stories they have told are funny! Like the one with the condom and being arrested. Although it is hard to focus in class right now since it is game day I always have the hardest time paying attention in class on game day because all I can think about is the game! I did miss like 5 minutes of the movie cause I took a nice power nap haha but after that once I woke up I felt like I was able I pay more attention to the movie... Not sure why but hey it worked haha. It also feels like a Friday because it's game day but it's not!!

The Rolling Stones

Today in class when we began to speak about The Rolling Stones I wasn't quite sure if I was going to be super in to it! But I can stay I am more excited to study them then I was for the Beattles haha. I couldn't sit there and name songs by the Rolling Stones but when listening to them their songs are much for familiar sounding then The Beattles. It was also interesting listening to everyone talk about ACL also because I never go but it is fun to hear people talk about who they liked and who they didn't like and by hearing that you can kind of get a hint to what kind of person they are just by what they listened to. Not as in if the are good or bad but how they kind of think haha.

ACL

I personally have never been to ACL and doubt I will ever go! Why because one I only know about one or two people every year and I don't feel the need to spend large amounts of money to go be around huge crowds of people being pushed and shoved during shows. I would much rather prefer to just listen to them person I like on my phone or something. I understand some people just enjoy live shows/performances better in person but I don't really care so if I don't have a desire to go I don't feel the need to spend all that money just to go because its "what everyone does." And when you think about it your paying that money for all the bands that are there but when it comes down to it you don't even see most of them!!

THE MOVIE!!

Today in class we watched the weirdest movie I have ever seen haha!! I'm pretty sure it was called "Shut Up and Play the Hits" I was extremely confused I wasn't quite sure what was going on hah! It was about this guy playing his last concert before he just walked away from rock n roll I believe! I'm sure it was just being played because you where gone which is understandable ha! Speaking of movie and tv shows. Some new shows started back up!! Modern Family, The Middle, and Two and Half Men! Just a few shoes I watch if you don't watch them I would highly suggest it all of them are extremely funny and will keep you amused! Two and Half Men is more of a adult comedy so you should really enjoy that one!

Over the weekend I was checking out hotnewhiphop.com for some new music. Why I like that site is one I can get free music but it also has a lot of songs and mixtape a from underground rappers or rappers who haven't yet busted on the scene but still have great music! Of course was going to get the new Drake album "Nothing Is The Same" if you haven't listened to it I would suggest it!! It is a very good album there are a couple of songs on their that had already been released but because they where so hot he put them on there also but all of his new songs where on point!!! The man is deep when he raps!! I think my favorite songs on the whole album would have to be Tuscan Leather, Worst Behavior, and Furthest Thing.

Today in class we watched a movie on the Beatles! I mean of course I don't ever mind watching a movie in class haha but to me personally the Beatles are extremely boring!!! But at the same time this movie was much better then the last one because this one had a lot of funny moments in it. I think the funniest one was when the joke was made about the girl being a good swimmer because she has big boobs haha. But it is still crazy to me how everywhere they went a huge crowd of people mainly girls would be waiting and screaming for them!! When they went places they had to try so had just to go from say a car to in a room haha people would like swarm and attack them trying to touch them!!

Under The Dome

Today in class we where taking about television shows for a little bit. I personally just finished watching the first season of Under The Dome. The season ended Monday. It was on CBS if you do not watch it you should!!!! The show is amazing!! It is so suspenseful and keeps you interested the whole time!! Since the season just ended I suggest watch it on Netflix! Mr. A after hearing you talk about movies and shows I feel like you would love this show! You should go check it out.

Jazz music

Today in class we listened to some jazz. I enjoyed that a lot I like jazz music. Especially Temtation I actually listen to them outside of school on pandora when I am just chillin. Listening to all the popular groups and people that where under that one label it was crazy they where making so much money off of the music groups would be putting out.! If you haven't listened to a lot of Marvin Gaye's top songs I suggest it!! Because I do and it is wonderful music to just listen to and relax to

Beatles Pt.2

Today in class we listen to a album of the Beatles. In my last blog post I said I didn't enjoy listening to the Beatles at all but after listening to the album today in class I enjoy it more. I think it's because there weren't girls screaming in the back grown and I could actually hear the music. There where a few songs on the album that I found very good. And most of the songs I enjoyed I had heard before I assume from a sound track in a movie or something.

Beatles

Before today I honestly couldn't tell you much about the Beatles but after today I can tell you one thing I am not a huge fan. After finishing the documentary on them I came to the conclusion they are not my type of band there music didn't strike me as being very interterting! I'm not sure if it was because in the movie I could hardly hear them because of how much all the fans/girls where yelling but based on the movie I wasn't intrigued. Maybe after next class when we listen to some albums I will enjoy there music more with out the yelling!

Dedication 5

When I was in about the 6th grade I started listening to a lot of Lil Wayne all his Carter albums and his mixtapes. I became a huge fan of him but recently about 2 years ago my interest in him began to fade but when he would drop a new album or a new mixtape I will always listen to it! I liked dedication 4 so of course when dedication 5 came out I got it to check it out and see if I liked if or not. There are 29 tracks on it and I would say about 5 that I would actually listen to again! I wasn't very impressed with it. From what I can remember there are about 4 tracks where it is literally just him talking in the studio with his friends. So for the most part I would give the Dedication 5 mixtape a thumbs down!!

Elvis!

I personally am not really a fan of Elvis!! Prior to last class I had honestly never really listened to him I had just heard all the hype about him in music classes when I was in elementary school. But when we listened to him in class his music didnt really Intertain me some was to slow and others just didnt catch my attention and make me really want to keep listening. It would just slowing become back ground music. It was also pretty crazy hearing the story about the Beatles and how the girls peed all over them selves!! I'm excited to listen to them and watch the documentary!!

Jerry Lee Louis

Jerry Lee Lewis is CRAZY!!!!! watching some of his performances on YouTube in class I was amazed at how crazy this guy was. And then hearing some of the stories about his personal life just put it over the top!

Rock

I personally have never really listened to rock and roll but in class as we listened to some it struck me that I had heard a lot of these song! I have actually heard a lot of populate mid to late 90's rock through movies. Of all the artist we listened to in class Little Richard was my favorite.

My Music

I like to listen to Rap. It is just what I have grown up listening to and I enjoy it very much. Not only is it entertaining but some songs often tell a story with in them
